Minifig Spotlight 23.2: Stripe

Minifig Spotlight 23.2

Name: Stripe (Gremlins)
Figure ID#: DIM033
Year: 2016
Theme: Dimensions (Subtheme: Gremlins)
Info: From 2015-17, LEGO made waves with what was, at the time, a revolutionary concept in the gaming industry. Following in the steps of Skylanders and Disney: Infinity, LEGO Dimensions allowed you to purchase LEGO minfigures and sets and, through pieces containing microchips and a special platform, allowed you to summon said characters and sets into the game world to execute missions and progress the storyline. Through the unique Dimensions sets we were given special minifig versions of famous TV and movie characters such as the Ghostbusters, Scooby Gang, Simpsons, DC Heroes, and other Warner Brother holdings. The evil Gremlin leader, Stripe, was part of a 2016 “Gremlins” expansion pack that also featured the Mogwai, Gizmo. Utilizing the same leg mold as the “Faun” minifigure, Stripe was a one-of-a-kind character and has only ever seen just the one variation.

Brick Talk: Knockoffs Vs 3rd Party and Why It Matters

Today I want to introduce a new segment of The LEGO Maniac blog, we are going to simply call it "Brick Talk". In these segments we will talk over different issues regarding LEGO, the LEGO community, and other relevant topics. I hope that, through these segments, we can help clarify and educate the LEGO Community on current issues. In this edition of Brick Talk, I want to address the topic of Knockoffs, 3rd Party products, and why we should even care. Believe it or not, the issue of Knockoff LEGO Products is actually a very big issue and has ramifications that run deeper than most realize. As is, you see this topic brought up in LEGO Facebook groups, Pages and on Reddit and other social media platforms. Usually the term "Knockoff", "Fake", "Flego", "Fake LEGO", and "3rd Party" are used fairly interchangeably. Also, a number of AFOL's argue rather heatedly over whether you should buy Fake LEGO or even have them in your colle...
